Keep On Believing

We have come of age Jamaicans and no longer need to cower behind our great potential. Our energies are fiery and if not appreciated it consumes us by manifesting in the numerous self-destructive ways which we are now experiencing in the form of crime and violence. In truth, crime and violence is another word for self-rejection which we can solve with a new culture of self and life-affirming values.

Would be interesting if the Diaspora pushed for a coalition government and a presidential system rather than the 'bi-partisan' one we have. Crime is not symptomatic of only poverty. Corruption can be hid, no one accountable for failures when the political system promotes it. Pushing for something that Bruce Golding spoke about... On the Jamaica 50th anniversary along with severing ties from Britain- we don't need another queen- we need representatives who are independently elected by the people to represent them. If the system of politics does not change soon or the silent majority step up and act, then the less will continue making a mess for the Jamaica we love so dearly.
