For some of us living overseas, it is unlikely that we will be returning to Jamaica anytime soon.  In the meantime however, we can work together to strengthen our affinity to the homeland while participating in local development efforts throughout the Island.

Jamlink is the ongoing multimedia initiative towards keeping our people connected, engaged and informed, so we may all have an opportunity to assist where-ever possible.  More specifically, using the web to chronicle Jamaica and as a catalyst for increasing the level of participation and social cohesion among Jamaicans living overseas.

Additionally, Jamlink represents an online framework for channeling our creative potential and is committed to advancing the prospects for all Jamaicans.  Furthermore, if the creative energy of our people can be harnessed to create a national thrust, it is likely to inspire a more meaningful Jamaican inter-connectedness throughout the overseas community.

Our vision is two-fold:

• Mobilize the active participation of the overseas community around a common focus in Jamaica – we see this as an important channel for sustaining affinity to Jamaica, for this generation and beyond.

• Broaden the scope of community activism by engaging the ordinary Jamaican citizen. To this end, we are always seeking relevant and appropriate materials that can be published to keep the global Jamaican community informed, so they can assist where-ever possible.

Jamlink ultimately seeks to promote unity among Jamaicans overseas, by creating a cohesive network of organizations and individuals linked by a common interest in Jamaica.  Please join us.
